Kirknewton Stables Wedding

Kirknewton Stables wedding photography

Jenny & Nick travelled all the way from the United States for their incredible wedding at the beautiful Kirknewton Stables. They were joined by a big crew of the nearest and dearest, many of which travelled from the US for their first experience of a Scottish wedding… and they certainly weren’t let down.

This was my first time photographing Kirknewton Stables and I really hope that it won’t be my last. It’s such an amazing location, with really great grounds and a nice laidback atmosphere, which really suits my natural and candid style of photography.

As you’ll see from these pictures, everyone involved had an absolute blast and it was so much fun just blending in and capturing all of the personalities that made the day. Jenny & Nick didn’t really want a huge amount of posed pictures and my brief was to capture the personalities and atmosphere of the day, which is exactly what I did… and it’s pretty much what I do at every wedding. I’m not really one for taking couples away for hours for pictures. I think that it’s super important that all brides and grooms get to spend loads of time with their guests, after all, the couple are the reason why they have all attended, so it would feel selfish or ego driven to make the day all about photography. It’s all about spending time with the people who love you and have chosen to give up their time to be a part of your day.

So if you’re into natural, candid and documentary style photography, this wedding is definitely one to check out.
