Jade and Alistair are such an awesome couple. I had such a great laugh spending the day with them exploring such a beautiful part of Scotland on their wedding day.
Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Glencoe, where the ancient mountains whisper tales of romance, I recently had the honour of photographing an elopement that was nothing short of magical. This intimate celebration unfolded at the serene Lochan, where an adventurous Australian bride and her groom, adorned with awesome yellow shoes, pledged their love surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Scottish Highlands. To add to the charm, their loyal four-legged companion joined the celebration, making it a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Glencoe, with its rugged peaks and serene lochs, provided the perfect backdrop for this elopement. The Lochan, a hidden gem nestled within the valley, offered a secluded and enchanting setting for the couple to exchange their vows. As a photographer, capturing the love between this amazing couple against the dramatic backdrop of Glencoe was a dream come true.
Adding a pop of color to the traditional Scottish landscape, Alistair’s awesome yellow Doc Martens became a focal point of the day. The main point being that I wanted to nick them! As a photographer, I couldn't resist capturing the uniqueness of this choice, showcasing how even the smallest details contribute to the overall magic of the day.
Completing the bridal party was an adorable four-legged companion who accompanied the couple throughout their elopement adventure. This furry friend, more than just a pet, became an integral part of the celebration, bringing joy, spontaneity, and genuine moments of connection. From playful romps along the Lochan to heartfelt glances exchanged, the dog added an extra layer of love to the already heartwarming day.
As a Scottish elopement photographer, it was an honour to capture these moments, creating a visual story that will undoubtedly stand the test of time.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with such an amazing team on the day. The always charming and funny Gary Smith conducted such a beautiful ceremony. And the awesome guys at Kai Films filmed the day and provided an absolutely epic film. They also went over and above and drove all of us around in their camper all day. It was quite an adventure.
