Recently, I had the incredible honour of photographing a wedding at this fairy-tale venue, where every moment was a testament to the enduring power of love. Dundas Castle, with its rich history dating back to the 15th century, provides a picturesque backdrop that transports couples and their guests to a world of elegance and romance. The lush greenery and imposing building create a dreamlike atmosphere that sets the stage for a truly unforgettable celebration.

The wedding ceremony took place in the castle's stunning Auld Keep, a space steeped in history and adorned with period features. As the couple exchanged vows against the backdrop of ancient stone walls and vaulted ceilings, the air was filled with a sense of awe and reverence. My goal was to capture the raw emotion and intimate moments that unfolded during this sacred union.

One of the joys of photographing a wedding at Dundas Castle is the opportunity to capture candid moments against the backdrop of its breathtaking surroundings. From stolen glances between the newlyweds to laughter shared between friends and family, every fleeting emotion was immortalised through my lens. These candid shots not only tell the story of the day but also capture the essence of the love that filled the air.

Dundas Castle's expansive grounds offer a myriad of photographic opportunities. We ventured up the narrow staircases up to the roof, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Forth bridges. Each location provided a unique canvas for creating timeless images that will be cherished for generations to come.

Yvonne and David were really fun and great to work with and it was a pleasure to naturally capture their personalities together with the beauty of the castle. The wedding party and all of the guests were on great form, which allowed me to fade into the background throughout the day and naturally capture the personalities, laughter and love that made this day so unique.
