How to rock an autumn wedding in Scotland
Vicki & Craig | Broxmouth Park | October 2017
Vicki and Craig knew exactly how to rock an autumn wedding in Scotland and here is why....
What an awesome couple. Their attention to detail on all aspects of this day was incredible. I remember visiting them at their home in Glasgow prior to the wedding. Seeing all of the little areas and work stations throughout their flat dedicated to different elements of their wedding was very impressive, and seeing it all come to fruition on the day must have been so rewarding. They totally nailed it.
Vicki and Craig chose well. Broxmouth Park is such a special venue. The building is an old stately manor that provides exclusive use for weddings. The grounds are incredible. They include vast woodland areas, beautiful pine trees and a stunning pond. The seaside is also very close and great for portraits. We explored it all during an engagement shoot earlier in the year, so we knew exactly where we wanted to go on the day. This helped save some time so that Vicki and Craig had as much time with their guests as possible. This always gives me the opportunity to capture natural and candid pictures of guests enjoying the day.
Attempting an outdoor ceremony in October in Scotland was definitely brave and they were so so close to pulling it off. It started raining 5 minutes before the ceremony whilst all the guests were seated, so they all had a big decision to make. Ultimately, they decided to come back down to the equally as beautiful marquee. The staff turned it around in no time. Did this effect Vicki and Craig's day? Hell no! They rolled with it and embraced everything, never losing focus on what was truly important - marrying the love of your life. I love this kind of attitude. It all adds to their wonderful story - a few pictures of which follow below:
