A Magical Winter Wedding at The Caves, Edinburgh

This was the last wedding that I photographed in 2023…

and what a way to end such an amazing year! Rebekah and Alasdair are such an awesome couple and they had planned one hell of a wedding at The Caves in Edinburgh. From the morning preparations at The Scotsman all the way through to the evening ceilidh, it was such a pleasure to be part of such a brilliant wedding with an incredible bunch of people.

This wedding had it all… great energy, a beautfully unusual location, lots of love and happiness and an OWL! How often do you get to be in a Cave in Edinburgh witnessing an owl as ring bearer!? The music throughout the day was also right up my street. It was as if I had created the playlist myself! I’ve never ever had a bride walk down the aisle to the White Winter Hymnal by the Fleet Foxes! Superb! That certainly beats Ed Sheerin… no offence to all of you Sheerin-heads!

It’s always such a joy to naturally capture the atmosphere and personalities that make such a memorable occasion. Thanks so much to everyone who made me feel so welcome so that I could immerse myself in the experience.

It was so much fun to go out of 2023 with a bang!
